Plant Ideas for
Spring Zenobia
pulveruletna
Order this one for spring! This is a
great shrub I have had in my garden for the last
few years. It only gets to be about 2 to 3
feet high and has the most beautiful silver
foliage and bell shaped flowers. It can
take partial shade or full sun and turns a
beautiful red in the fall. You can order it from
www.rarefindnursery.com or www.woodlanders.net.

Magnolias for
Every Garden!
Magnolias make wonderful garden
specimens! Deciduous varieties bloom in early
spring, before their leaves appear.
Magnolia 'Elizabeth' ( pictured) is an
exceptional deciduous flowering tree that
will reach 30 to 40 feet tall. This
selection shows good garden vigor and has
remarkable 8 inch long leaves through the
growing season. EVERGREEN varieties
keep their leaves and will do well
here with a southern exposure. Varieties such
as "Brown Bracken Beauty' and 'Edith Bogue' flower
later but keep their remarkable leaves throughout
the winter.
Magnolias do best if they are
planted in the spring. I will buy and deliver for
you if interested ( email me and I will send you
an availability and price list) when they arrive
at the nurseries most likely in April.
